TOLPUDDLE-L The ancestors and descendants of James and George Loveless/Lovelace who were two of the Tolpuddle Martyrs of Tolpuddle, Dorset, England. The "Tolpuddle Martyrs" were six agricultural labourers who, in 1834, were sentenced to seven years' transportation to Australia for administering illegal oaths while founding a trade union. They all were granted a free pardon in 1836. James and George eventually settled in London, Ontario, Canada.
