LINKPENDIUM

The Definitive Directory

By using this site, you agree to the following common-sense terms:

  1. This acceptable use policy may be changed in the future. The current policy will always be available on our site.

  2. Individual users are welcome to use Linkpendium to find resources on the Web. That's what we're here for. :-)

  3. Professional researchers may use Linkpendium in performing studies for their clients. We request, but do not require, that Linkpendium be acknowledged in research reports.

  4. Webmasters and users are invited to submit their favorite sites for inclusion in the directory using the Web form on the appropriate page. There is no charge for inclusion, and we never give preference to pages based on payment. You can tell us about bad links and other problems by writing to: webmaster@linkpendium.com.

  5. Any site may link to Linkpendium's homepage or any other Linkpendium page. "Deep linking" is perfectly OK.

  6. "Framing" or other mechanisms which display Linkpendium content but obscure Linkpendium being the source are not permitted.

  7. Except as otherwise noted in this AUP, the content of this site may not be copied, "spidered", bulk downloaded, or otherwise used to create content or value as part of any other product or service. This applies to nonprofit as well as commercial use.

    • Exception: Freely accessible general-purpose search engines not specifically targeting our user communities may spider and index any and all pages on this site.

This exception applies, for example, to Google and Bing.

    • Exception: Freely accessible Websites that cover a very small fraction of Linkpendium's breadth may copy and use our links (the HTML, URLs, anchor text, and other text) on their sites, so long as they provide a conspicuous link back to Linkpendium's home page or to the Linkpendium page from which the links were copied.

This exception applies to (but is not limited to) USGW, AHGP, AHLN, and other projects or independent websites for localities, surnames, and such.

In any case, no one person or company may copy more than 1,000 links, regardless of how many Websites they operate, without explicit permission from: webmaster@linkpendium.com.

    • Exception: we may grant written permission in other circumstances. Write to webmaster@linkpendium.com.
